deforestation and ways to minimize the problem

There have been so many discussions on the effects of deforestation in our environment. These effects range from alarming to catastrophic. We have read newspaper headlines that show the wreckage that natural disasters have done. Flashfloods have not only damaged millions of properties all over the globe but it has also collected lives. Landslides have done the same. These two are the results of nature's balance that has been disturbed. They are the effects of deforestation.

Deforestation is the act of converting patches of forests to become areas of residence or industry. More and more businessmen are pushing through forests to obtain more land. Environment is sacrificed in exchange for profit. And this is a highly disturbing fact.
As an individual or as a part of the global community, we can do something to help prevent deforestation.Maybe we can not fight off illegal loggers with your bear hands but with some basic ways, we can make a difference,no matter how small.

The basic ways are  If deforestation is a negative event, then a positive event should take place to counter its effects reforestation. Plant trees and begin doing this in your yard. Trees give off oxygen that is essential for human existence and they, in turn, capture the carbon dioxide that humans and animals exhale. Trees also help in containing water in its roots. With this simple act, we are able to prevent soil erosion, which is the root cause of landslides.

Beside that,  if we are a farmer (or if you know someone who works as a farmer), try to rotate your crops. Instead of using a different portion of land each year, why not use the same portion with different crops? This practice also helps in maintaining the fertility of the soil. With the rotation of crops, not only is there a variety on the harvest each year, there is also the possibility of keeping that portion of land for as long as we can.

In the other hand, Cut down only the mature trees. Do not kill baby trees. And for every tree that is lost, plant another one as a replacement. Moreover,Use recycled items such as books or pad paper, toilet paper, even shopping bags. If we can, do not waste any of these products so that no new raw material would be required to replace them.

Support the laws or programs that were made to protect the forests and to stop any form of deforestation. Programs such as the Tropical Forestry Action Plan have done a major difference on the way deforestation is looked at today. This program spearheaded the discussion of tropical deforestation.

In a nutshell, it is imperative to know that there is no such thing as a small, insignificant act when it comes to defeating deforestation. No matter how small your deed maybe, the important thing there is 'every act can make a difference'. Deforestation can be prevented and we can be an active force in achieving that.

For me, i think this song is a story about a guy who missed his home country, this guy maybe an expatriate. Eventhough, he live with many people out there, his still alone because he missed someone or something. it can be elther a girl or his home country. Eventhough this guy felt so lucky of being an expatriate but still he felt alone and keep mentioning that he wanted to go home. This guy felt that he pretend of being someone and understand why someone or something cannot come with him.  He eager to go home by keep repeating the words "Let me go home" and tell that his duty  done and completed.

Superstition In The World

Why is it that because for every 13th on friday, that people are genuinely more concerned about a black cat crossing their path?  One possible explanation is that the age old superstition has been so ingrained in our minds, probably since we were just children, that it can sometimes be hard to just ignore.  We have been brought up to be superstitious of many things besides a black cat, like walking under a ladder, opening an umbrella in the house, and even breaking a mirror.  Most of these fears have a central underlying theme, that we will be forced to live a life of bad luck.  Well, not all cat superstitions should be feared, as quite a few of them would actually bring good luck and wealth.

For thousands of years, black cats have been regarded as mysterious creatures with supernatural powers and were associated with witches and even death.  It was believed that witches could change into cats and that they could make that change nine times, which is where the believe that cats have nine lives came from.  There are many superstitions associated with cats, partly because the cat has lived alongside humans for thousands of years.  Superstitions centering around the black cat are some of the most well-known and popular superstitions today.

Did you know that the superstition of a black cat crossing your path only means bad luck in the United States and several European countries?  If you live in Japan or Britain, this would be a sign of good luck to come.  Also in America, there is a superstition about white cats.  Seeing a white cat at night will bring you bad luck, but if you dream about a white cat, that’s a sign of good luck to come your way.

An Irish cat superstition states that if you kill a cat, you will be burdened by 17 years of bad luck, while a Scottish believe is a strange black cat on your porch will bring you and your family prosperity.  In Italy, a cat sneezing is a good omen for everyone who hears it, again referring to having good luck brought upon you in your lifetime.  In the Netherlands, cats were not allowed in rooms where private family discussions were going on, as the Dutch believed that cats would spread gossips around the town.  This also goes back to the superstition that cats possess some sort of supernatural powers.   In Egypt, it was once believed that the life-giving rays of the sun were kept in a cat’s eyes at night for safekeeping, being able to save lives if needed.

In the conclusion, each and every one of these superstitions are just that, superstitions.  So many of us believe in them in one form or another, that in some ways they are considered actual beliefs as opposed to folklore.  Rest assured that if a black cat crosses your path, even on Friday the 13th, that you will be no worse off than you were prior to seeing it.

The Campaign Of 3R ( Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)

Because of global warming, pollution, diminishing forests, and a limited supply of natural resources, people are becoming more aware of the importance of protecting the environment.

The 3 Rs in solid waste management generally refer to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Waste in the environment affects the air, water, land, animals, plants, and humans. When we use the environment as a waste dump, we take away land from wildlife, pollute the environment, and deplete natural resources. One way people are doing their part to protect the environment is adopting the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Waste Program.

The 3R program reduces the amount of garbage going into landfills thereby protecting and conserving our environment. The success of the 3 Rs will mean less waste is produced and thus less demand for landfill space.

Reduce mean finding way to decrease or lessen the amount of trash we throw away. You can help reduce the amount of waste in your home by taking simple steps such as do not buy more than necessarily or on impulse. Buy what is necessary and in sufficient quantity but not in excess for the family use. People reduce by purchasing items that are durable and last a long time. By purchasing long lasting products with very little packaging, you will decrease the amount of waste entering a landfill.

Other ways of reducing waste include buy products that do not require a lot of energy and resources to    manufacture. Look for products that contain environmentally    friendly packaging. Beside that, Reduce car use by riding your bicycle, carpooling with friends,    walking, or taking the bus. Other than that, Composting is a great way to dispose of kitchen waste. It is healthy    for the soil and less waste will go into the landfill.

Avoid disposable or “use once only” items but use the more durable goods. For instance, plates, glasses, cutlery, napkins, towels, handkerchiefs, and, cloth diapers, instead of the disposal types. Use rechargeable batteries. Reducing will help with conservation efforts and decrease landfill waste and energy use. Reducing results in less pollution and a cleaner environment. It also helps conserve natural resources.

Beside that,  Reuse mean finding way to use things over and over again instead that throwing them away. We can reduce waste by reusing products. Reusing methods include repairing damaged items, donating items to a worthy cause, or finding another way to use them.

Some reusing tips include use cloth grocery bags instead of plastic bags. We can be used    repeatedly, Use reusable lunch bags and use silverware and dishes instead of plastic utensils and plates. Another way to reuse is to hire a junk removal service. Except for hazardous materials, junk removal companies will come and remove just about any type of waste. This includes furniture, appliances, electronics, and construction refuse. Many junk removal businesses donate items to charities, repair items, and recycle.

Moreover, Recycling means taking something old and turning it into something new. This process involves making new products out of old products. This means potential landfill waste becomes a new product. We can protect the environment by buying products that contain recycled materials. Many of the things we use every day are recycled. Recycled products include, paper towels, toilet paper, paper bags, beverage bottles and cans, milk cartons, and much more.

Most products have the recycle label on the package. Many towns and cities have recycling programs. Some places even have mandatory recycling programs. Junk removal companies are actively involved in reusing and recycling. These companies are very aware of the publics concern for the environment so they make reusing and recycling a big part of their business. Make sure we ask a junk removing company how much they recycle. We will feel good knowing that not all of the junk we are getting rid of will end up in a land fill.

In the conclusion, Reducing, reusing, and recycling helps lessen our impact on the environment and benefits the community. With the help of environmentally conscious companies such as junk removal companies, we are decreasing the amount of waste going into landfills. By participating in the 3R program, we will feel good knowing that we are doing part to leave a healthier planet for our children.
